IBM has announced that 11 of its AI and automation software solutions, including several from its watsonx portfolio, have received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) authorization. These solutions are exclusively deployed on AWS GovCloud (U.S.), allowing federal agencies to access secure, compliant capabilities without managing the underlying infrastructure. The authorization of these 11 solutions within a single year represents a four-fold increase in IBM’s FedRAMP portfolio and was accelerated through a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Vanessa Hunt from IBM highlighted that this achievement underscores their commitment to the evolving technology needs of federal agencies. Ultimately, this effort builds upon IBM’s longstanding partnership with the U.S. government, delivering mission-ready AI capabilities that support transformation at scale.
